With #NationalNursesWeek nearing at its close, we wanted to share one more piece of festivities from the week. Throughout the week we held nursing fairs on both of our campuses with a fun baseball theme as well as a photo area where our nurses could express why they do what they do so well. The fairs were intended to celebrate our own outstanding nursing staff but also to reiterate all the opportunities and benefits they have as Madonna nurses. From education assistance, career trajectory possibility and overall support, we wanted to show all the ways Madonna appreciates all they do. Happy #NursesWeek to all our amazing nurses and to all in the nursing profession. You are critical to providing patient care and we are all incredibly grateful.

Thanks to phrases like “doom-scrolling” and “internet trolls,” social media tends to get a bad rap. However, it can also be a force for good, connecting people and ideas. For Julia Elizabeth Sullivan, a 28-year-old born with congenital limb differences in both arms and legs, one Instagram post proved to be life-changing. #LimbLossAwareness #Research

It’s not just Madonna employees that make the difference in a patient's recovery. Volunteers from the community make a huge impact on their recovery as well. From our Angel Dog program putting a smile on our patient’s faces, to our Peer to Peer program connecting patients with individuals who’ve been through their own journey, Madonna offers many fulfilling volunteer opportunities. And what better time to sign up than National Volunteer Week! Learn more at Madonna.org/volunteer
