On this Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Thank you to Rep. Don Bacon, Mike Flood and Rep. Adrian Smith for supporting the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act (H.R. 5403) which passed the House today. The supposed advantages of a CDBC are uncertain, but the costs would be significant, including introducing unnecessary risks into the financial system.

The Leaders in Financial Education (LiFE) program recognizes banks and bankers for their efforts to promote financial education in the communities they serve. Thank you to Rep. Mike Flood for joining us at the NBA Annual Convention this morning. Another big thank you for your leadership on H.J. Res. 109 which would overturn an SEC bulletin that prevents banks from providing digital asset custody services for their customers.

The 2024 NBA Annual Convention has come to an end! Today, we celebrated our NBA Foundation scholarship recipients and banks who are leaders in financial education in the communities they serve.
